Restaurants
For a casual dinner out at a conventional restaurant, you aren’t expected to go all out, but at some of the nicer ones, you may want to leave your tracksuits and runners at home. A nice shirt and a pair of clean shoes will do just fine. Stag costumes are usually allowed as well.
Bars
The dress code varies from bar to bar, some don’t make a fuss about it, but others might give you the looks if you aren’t dressed appropriately. No ties or suits are necessary, but a shirt and proper black shoes would be a safe bet. Stag costumes are usually allowed at bars as well.
Clubs
This also depends on the particular club, but to make sure none of you are stopped at the gates, wear the earlier mentioned crisp shirt and black shoes (runners are sometimes problematic). At the same time, during the summer shorts and open-toe sandals are allowed at open-air, outdoor clubs. Stag costumes are a frequent problem at clubs, and most people who dress up are turned away at the door, so if you do decide to wear a funny outfit for the night, bring a bag of spare clothes to change into.
Take Note:
Even if you are in appropriate clothing, misbehaviour may be another factor for why bouncers choose not let you in. Whilst having a laugh is completely natural, there are situations where ill judgement on your or your friend’s part may become a problem. If you find it difficult to tame each other, try to compose yourselves at the entrance, and you can lay back and let it rip inside.
